Staying In Charge – Powers of attorney for healthcare and financial matters allow you to avoid conservatorship should you become incapacitated and unable to speak for yourself.

Wills, Trusts & Probate – Explains the probate process and ways to avoid it with wills and trusts.

Elder Care & Residential Choices – Discusses different types of long term care (at home, skilled nursing and hospice care), their costs and how to determine which is best for you.

Financial Planning for Long Term Care – Addresses financial options for obtaining affordable long-term care (e.g., Medicare, Medi-Cal, Veterans benefits, reverse mortgage loans, long-term care insurance).

Safe Senior Living: Medication Management – Bring awareness to the growing dependence amount seniors on drugs, including opioids, and the dangers of drug interactions from combining drugs with other substances such as alcohol, herbal remedies, over the counter remedies and even food.

Medi-Cal Coverage for Nursing Home Care – Discusses eligibility requirements for nursing home Medi-Cal that are very different from those of standard Medi-Cal, and penalties on certain property transfers that may impact one’s eligibility.

Safe at Home – Fall Prevention – Find out what you can do to reduce your risk factors for falling or being injured and live safely in your home as long as possible as you age.

Aging Preparedness Kit (Mini) – Learn about six tools that may assist you in preparing for the aging process.

Senior Scams (Mini) – Class instructs on the psychology of the scam and how to detect what may be scam.  This knowledge is then applies to the latest scams.

How to Select a  Monitoring Device (Mini) – Discussion of the elements of a good monitoring device and how to select the best choice for the individual.  Also discusses the financial choices.
