FACT SHEET: H.E.L.P. Looking Forward

H.E.L.P. has set the goal to directly assist more than 35,000 older adults and caring family members and friends in 2001. 

When looking through 2001 and beyond to the longer-term, H.E.L.P.’s vision of the future includes:

• Because older adults at times find it difficult or inconvenient to arrange transportation to H.E.L.P.’s central location, reaching out to each community (in H.E.L.P.’s Southern California service area) to provide regularly scheduled and ongoing classes, private consultations and other services on-site within that community.

• Providing copies of H.E.L.P.’s popular “Your Way” guide to help millions of families all across the United States.

• Expanding awareness of H.E.L.P.’s valuable web site [www.help4srs.org], and making it an interactive tool, to help millions of families across the United States.

• Providing to other similarly-motivated groups across California and the United States the “how-to” information so that independently they can bring H.E.L.P.’s approach to serving older adults to their own communities.
