News Alert: Children Should Not Count on Inheritance from Parents

According to an article in the September 2, 2003 edition of The Christian Science Monitor, fewer seniors may be leaving inheritances to their children in the future. The article reports that this trend is developing partly due to longer life expectancies and increasing health care costs, both of which are causing seniors to retain a larger amount of their assets for themselves. The article also discusses other reasons seniors are leaving less to their children. The article is available at www.csmonitor.com/2003/0902/p01s04-ussc.html.
