We Did It! Delivered Our One-Millionth Counted Helping

We measure the amount of help we provide to older adults and their caring families and friends by counting helpings.

On November 16, 2006, we delivered our one-millionth counted helping!

The chart represents our counted helpings through November 30, 2006 -- cumulative since we opened the doors in 1996. It includes our most client- and labor-intensive services (private consultations, public classes, and telephone, walk-in and email responses), plus helpings produced by leveraging of the intensive work, mainly through our web sites and Your Way guide.

Not included in the counted helpings is the assistance we provide through our many other publications and our work in community collaborations. For example, we have distributed more than 260,000 copies of our quarterly H.E.L.P. Is Here magazine.
